<strong>Theme:</strong> “Olympics”</p>
<p><strong>Number of Teams:</strong> 6 (Ave Angels, Monterey MonteRays, Norris Tiger Sharks, River Park Racing Roosters, Sanchez-Casal Alligators, Greater Naples YMCA Krakens)<br />
<strong>Number of Athletes:</strong> 240</p>
<p><strong>Meet Program (Heat Sheet):</strong> $5 at concession stand</p>
<p><strong>Awards:</strong> Ribbons will be distributed at the END of the meet, not after each race like the regular season dual meets. Medals will be distributed to 1<sup>st</sup>- 3<sup>rd</sup>. Place ribbons will be distributed to 4th-8th place. Swimmers who do not receive a place ribbon will receive a participation award.<br />
There will be plaques for the teams (1st-5th based on overall points)<br />
<strong>Scoring:</strong> Top 16 places score, based on time.<br />
<strong>Timing:</strong> Automatic timing systems will be used</p>
<p><strong>Psych Sheet:</strong> This is the ranking of swimmers by time in each event. This is not a heat sheet and does not provide heat/lane information. The heat sheet will be available on Saturday to coaches and parents.<br />

<p><strong>Volunteers:</strong> This meet will need quite a few volunteers. Lanes are assigned for warm up and each team has a ‘home base’. <a href="http://www.paradisecoastswim.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Champs-meet-2016-notice.pdf"> Click here for volunteer information, warm up info, and facility information.</a></p>
<p><strong>Clerk of Course:</strong>  This meet will use a ‘Clerk of Course’ system.  Swimmers will be called to the Clerk of Course tent at least 3 events prior to their next entered event.  At the Clerk of Course, each heat will be assembled and will be escorted to their lanes. Parents will not be allowed in the Clerk of Course area.</p>
<p><strong>What to bring:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>TENTS!  Any families that have pop-up tents are encouraged to bring them for the swimmers and spectators.  The PCSC will be providing tents and shade for all volunteer areas (timers, computer operators, concessions, clerk of course, etc.)</li>
<li>Folding Chairs</li>
<li>Towels</li>
<li>Olympic-themed apparel – dress up and have some fun!</li>
<li>Money for Heat Sheet and Concessions (heat sheet, also known as the meet program, will be available for $5)</li>

<p>The season opened with the Tiger Sharks swimming against Ave Angels Swim Club. After a hard fought match the Tiger Sharks came out on top. Meanwhile, Monterey MonteRays hosted the River Park Racing Roosters and were victorious. At  Sanchez-Casal, the Alligators had a fun meet after the Boys and Girls Club Barracudas forfeited. The YMCA Krakens had a bye week.</p>
