The Norris Tiger Sharks win the 2016 Paradise Coast Swim Conference championship meet in a Olympic-themed event on Saturday, August 6, 2016. We hope that everyone had an amazing time and enjoyed their experiences throughout this season.

2016 Championship Meet Set Up

2016 PCSC Championship Meet

Location: Norris Aquatic Center, 13275 Livingston Rd.

Date: Saturday, August 6, 2015
Warm Up: 7:45am ( NOR, SC, Naples Y) / 8:15am (MON, AVE, RP)
Meet Start: 9:00am
Theme: “Olympics”

Number of Teams: 6 (Ave Angels, Monterey MonteRays, Norris Tiger Sharks, River Park Racing Roosters, Sanchez-Casal Alligators, Greater Naples YMCA Krakens)
Number of Athletes: 240

Meet Program (Heat Sheet): $5 at concession stand

Awards: Ribbons will be distributed at the END of the meet, not after each race like the regular season dual meets. Medals will be distributed to 1st- 3rd. Place ribbons will be distributed to 4th-8th place. Swimmers who do not receive a place ribbon will receive a participation award.
There will be plaques for the teams (1st-5th based on overall points)
Scoring: Top 16 places score, based on time.
Timing: Automatic timing systems will be used

Psych Sheet: This is the ranking of swimmers by time in each event. This is not a heat sheet and does not provide heat/lane information. The heat sheet will be available on Saturday to coaches and parents.

Volunteers: This meet will need quite a few volunteers. Lanes are assigned for warm up and each team has a ‘home base’.  Click here for volunteer information, warm up info, and facility information.

Clerk of Course:  This meet will use a ‘Clerk of Course’ system.  Swimmers will be called to the Clerk of Course tent at least 3 events prior to their next entered event.  At the Clerk of Course, each heat will be assembled and will be escorted to their lanes. Parents will not be allowed in the Clerk of Course area.

What to bring:

  • TENTS!  Any families that have pop-up tents are encouraged to bring them for the swimmers and spectators.  The PCSC will be providing tents and shade for all volunteer areas (timers, computer operators, concessions, clerk of course, etc.)
  • Folding Chairs
  • Towels
  • Olympic-themed apparel – dress up and have some fun!
  • Money for Heat Sheet and Concessions (heat sheet, also known as the meet program, will be available for $5)

MonteRays, Tiger Sharks, and Angels Win the Final Week

In the final weekend of dual meets of the 2016 season, the Tiger Sharks (5-0) defeated the Racing Roosters (2-3), while the MonteRays (4-1) defeated the Alligators (0-5) .Out in Ave Maria, the Angels (3-2) won against the Krakens (1-4).

Week 6 Brings the Closest Meet of the Year

Week 6 had probably the most exciting meet of the year with the Racing Roosters hosting the Angels. After 60 events the Ave Maria Angels (2-2) beat the River Park Racing Roosters (2-2) by an 8 point margin. The Naples Y hosted their second meet of the year against the Norris Tiger Sharks. The Tiger Sharks (4-0) beat the Krakens (1-3).

Week 5 Results

Monterey (3-1) hosted the Ave Angels (1-2) at the Norris Aquatic Center. Monterey came out strong to take the win! At River Park the Roosters (2-1) put up some fast swimming against a small, but very fast Gator (0-4) team. We have 2 weeks of the regular season left so stay tuned for information about the championship meet ( Aug. 6).

Naples Y and Tiger Sharks WIN!

Competition opened with the only two undefeated teams of the years, the Tiger Sharks and MonteRays swimming against each other. After many close races and loud cheering, the Tiger Sharks (3-0) beat the Monterey MonteRays (2-1). The Gators (0-3) hosted their first meet of the year against the Naples Y; some quick swimming led to a Krakens (1-2) victory.

Big wins on July 2nd

Before the 4th of July Celebrations began, the Paradise Coast Swim Conference had two awesome meets. Out in Ave Maria the Angels (1-1) led the way against the Alligators (0-2). The Naples Y (0-2) hosted their first meet of the year where Monterey (2-0) swam to a victory. The Paradise Coast Swim Conference hopes everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July.

River Park and Tiger Sharks Both Win Week 2

This weekend  opened at River Park where the newly minted Naples YMCA Krakens (0-1) swam against the Racing Roosters (1-1). After last week’s loss, River Park would not be held back and won in a hard fought match.  Sanchez-Casal (0-1) visited the Norris Pool, where the Tiger Sharks (2-0) came out on top once again. Monterey and Ave Angels both had bye weeks.

TIGER SHARKS AND MONTERAYS TAKE WEEK 1

The season opened with the Tiger Sharks swimming against Ave Angels Swim Club. After a hard fought match the Tiger Sharks came out on top. Meanwhile, Monterey MonteRays hosted the River Park Racing Roosters and were victorious. At  Sanchez-Casal, the Alligators had a fun meet after the Boys and Girls Club Barracudas forfeited. The YMCA Krakens had a bye week.
